We kindly invite you to participate in a survey on toxic work environments in anaesthesia and intensive care.
A toxic work environment is characterised by various negative behaviors, such as discriminatory practices, harassment, bullying, verbal aggression, and a general lack of respect among colleagues. It may also include poor communication, excessive workloads, and a lack of teamwork and collaboration. Being subjected to such an unhealthy atmosphere can significantly impact an individual’s mental and physical health, leading to stress, anxiety, and other serious conditions.
The objective of this survey is to analyse the perceptions of anaesthesiologists and intensivists in Europe regarding their work environment. The survey seeks to identify the primary causes and consequences of a toxic work environment within this professional community.
