EndoVascular hybrid Trauma and bleeding Management symposium 2017

Datum: 2 - 4 feb, 2017

Plats: Örebro, Sweden

EVTM – EndoVascular hybrid Trauma and bleeding Management is a new platform that signals a paradigm shift i trauma and bleeding care. The concept is based on clinical and research work around endovascular aorta repair and bleeding patients as well as the EVTM workshops but most importantely, great clinical and research cooperation with other centers. It’s all about sharing knowledge and learning from each other.

REBOA (Resuscitative Endovascular Balloon Occlusion of the Aorta) or ABO (Aortic Balloon Occlusion) plays a central role in the EVTM and its usage is growing fast around the world. Almost 1000 REBOA patients have been treated worldwide by now and more centers are using this methos. In some centers, REBOA is integrated in the trauma bay algorithm. There is also a huge pre-hospital and military interes ´t in REBOA as well as new methods as partial REBOA (pREBOA), transfer REBOA and more.

The EVTM symposium will target trauma surgeons, vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists and Intensive care doctors that are involved in trauma/bleeding management and will be an international meeting open for registration and abstract submission. It will also target trauma teams , civilians and military (pre-hospital).
