There is a lot of good research going on in our specialty, and we have received many good abstracts for the SSAI 2022 congress already. However, the last months and years have put an extra burden on many of us, and research has in some instances been lagging. We have been approached by several colleagues who have asked for an extended deadline for abstracts. The organizing and scientific committee have therefore decided that the new abstract deadline is April 1st, at 23.59.00. So, grab your data and get started today! Abstract prizes are altogether DKK 85 000, and the winner gets DKK 25 000. A scientific committee of 16 independent persons from the Nordic countries, all highly qualified in the field of anesthesiology, will judge the abstracts.
We have got a lot of good feedback on the scientific program covering all aspects of our specialty, in addition to more generic sessions like pollution caused by anesthesia drugs and gases, DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion), artificial intelligence and climate crisis: implications for medical treatment, research methodology, medical papers including fraud and predatory journals and much more.
